The Glen Park Art Festival Young Adult Committee is currently looking for talented high school artists to display (and potentially sell) their artwork at this year's festival! Apply Now!

The goal of the Young Adult Division of the Glen Park Art Festival is to give local high school students the chance to gain art show experience in a real-world art festival setting. Students will have the opportunity to display their work to the public during the festival and each student has the option to sell their work during the festival if they so choose.

During the weekend of the festival all high school artists will be together in a the parking loop, next to the nature center, slightly off of the main festival on Glen Ave. This provides student artists the opportunity to participate in an art festival in a more controlled setting. This promotes unity between the young artists and allows new friendships to form and keeps all the young artists together.

The Young Adult Division wants to give students a positive and educational experience of art festivals. We want students to have the opportunity to have their work seen by the general public. Each year, we seek to make the festival rewarding and fun for all participants! The festival will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022 and Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 10am to 5pm on Glen Ave in Williamsville, New York.

History

The Glen Park Art Festival was founded in 2010 and was a very small collection of artists and performers from the area. In 2011 the High School Division was founded to give local high school students the opportunity to participate in the festival and display their art. Each year since the festival has grown in size and increased in popularity. The Glen Park Art Festival has become an annual tradition that takes place during the last weekend in July every year.

In 2015 the High School sub-section of the festival was re-named to the Young Adult Division. In 2016 the festival had grown to include almost 100 local artist, featured many local restaurants and stage performers too. In 2016 High School Division had also expanded to 15 young artists, to create the biggest group yet!
